6 axis robot machining

Complex shapes with overhangs or cavities, often require tooling with split lines or multiple parts, however this is not always desirable and running a typical 5 axis CNC machine to manufacture a mould for a prototype is usually far too expensive.

Therefore, we developed the unique process of using a 6 axis robot to machine a mould straight from a CAD drawing, with the following advantages:

	cost effective (performance of a 5 axis machine for the cost of a 3 axis router)
	reliable and easy to maintain (robots are now everywhere and often running 24/7)
	the right tolerance (up to 0.1 mm)
	multi-station, in whatever position
	parts up to 3m long
	excellent reach ability
